Why is Hyundai Creta no longer the best-selling SUV?

Hyundai Creta has been leading the C-segment SUV market for some time. However, the sales figure of last month, i.e September 2021 shows a different story. The company has managed to sell just 8,193 units of Creta in September 2021. Here are a few reasons that have dented the sales of Hyundai Creta.

Microchip shortage

The shortage of microchips is one of the many other reasons that have declined the sales of Creta. This shortage was caused after the first arrival of COVID-19, manufacturers cancelled many orders. The demand was diverted to the electronic devices as there was sudden increase in the demand for electronic devices. Therefore, manufacturers reduced their production capacity.

Mahindra XUV700

Newly launched Mahindra XUV700 was able to grab the attention of customers from the various segments. In the first hour of booking itself, the vehicle made a record of 25,000 bookings, company had to stop accepting bookings for a while.

MG Astor

The recent product, MG Astor is another reason for the decline in sales of Hyundai Creta. This car also managed to make buyers wait who were initially planning to buy a Creta.

Volkswagen Taigun

Volkswagen's Taigun had major impact on the customer. However, the car was not that popular, but it still manages to attract customers who want something more luxurious.

Kia Seltos

Last but not the least, Kia Motors managed to sell the 9583 units of Seltos. This was another option for buyers who were planning to buy Creta. They switched to Seltos.

So, these were some of the reason due to which the demand for Creta has decreased. Hope these points will help you to make wise choices.
