Engine Choices

Pre-facelift

The 1.3L DDiS turbocharged diesel and a 1.4L petrol engine came when it was first launched in 2014. The 1.3L was an instant hit and brought about a great energy saving. Just one year later, Maruti introduced a hybrid shape in this 1.3L unit in 2015. Ciaz has become the most fuel-efficient car with an ARAI kilometre of 28.09 kilometres per litre in India.

Facelift

A little while later, in 2018, Maruti introduced the 1.5L gasoline engine in-house with the 1.4L facial-lift model. With a peak torque of 138 Nm, the new petrol engine made 103 bhp. It comes with a handbook for 5 speeds and a 4-speed converter. The 1.3-L gasoline continued to increase facially and marginally.

Maruti launched the 1.5L diesel engine in-house which produced 95PS and 225 Nm of peak speed in Mach in 2019, while the car manufacturer continued to sell the 1.3L diesel engine. The latter had a mild hybrid motor and the larger 1.5L unit had greater power. The certified 1.5L ARAI, which is 26.82 km/l from the 1.3L unit, has been rated. In addition, there was a manual 6-speed gearbox for the bigger diesel engine.

Pricing

There are 8 variants of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6. The Ciaz BS6 base variant is priced from Rs 8,31,974 to 11,09,974 ex showroom.

Conclusion

The new variant prices in Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6 have an average of 20 km, which is above BS4. Thanks to its massive size, Ciaz is a good sedan with great comfort. It provides a good distance and is safer than previous model. It offers a wealth of features other than its competitors and through the sales and service network of Maruti, a good resale value. On the contrary, however, Maruti stopped Diesel and for this big sedan, too the engine appears to be somewhat underpowered. All in all it is a good value for money car with good mileage, lower service costs and safer than before.

Thus, we have seen in detail, the complete review of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz BS6. In an overall sense, it is a good car in the premium range to buy.
