The Baleno RS performance-based version of Maruti was launched in 2017. Over the year, Baleno has become one of the most desirable hatchbacks in the Indian car market.

In 2019, the carmaker launched a new Baleno with petrol engines conforming BS6 compliance. The Baleno was India's first BS6 compliant mass-market car. Check out the comprehensive review of Maruti Suzuki Baleno BS6. In this review, we will discuss about the exterior, interior, engine and other important aspects related to this car.

Exteriors

The Baleno has always been a beautiful car. It has improved even more with the recent BS6 update. The new frontal fascia looks amazing in the new version. Now it has got an angular smiling grille flanked by LED headlights and the LED DRLs. The car bumper is also tweaked and now looks fresher and elegant.

If you move to the side profile you can see that new machined 16-inch alloy wheels have been provided. The back side of the car is almost the same as the previous model and it gets an integrated spoiler and a thin strip of chrome on the back. It is available in five colour variants: Pearl Arctic White, Nexa Blue, Pearl Phoenix Red, metallic Premium Silver and Magma Gray. All these colours are metallic colour having shining look. You can choose the colour of your choice and enjoy this wonderful car.

Engine

Two BS6-compliant petrol engines are being equipped in the new 2020 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The first is a 1.2-liter K12B gasoline engine which churns 83 HP at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm at 4200 RPM. A 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT are available.

A 1.2-liter K12C double jet oil engine is the second one. This engine supplies 90 HP at 6000 rpm and 115 Nm at 4400 rpm. Only a manual 5-speed gearbox is supplied. Even Maruti's smart hybrid technology is delivered with the K12C engine.

Interiors

The Baleno has a snazzy interior that mimics its stylish exterior. The seating and door pads are made with subtle blue inserts to form a black cabin. The Baleno is also accompanied with the newest SmartPlay Studio infotainment system for the Suzuki, as are any new Cars from Maruti. It is a 7.0-inch, Android and Apple CarPlay-compatible touch screen system.

The Baleno also offers an engine start/stop button, a telescopic steering wheel, a voice controlled audio, a call control system, a Voice control system, navigation support and much more. Thus, we have seen that the interior of this car is amazing and it gives a great delight to the person driving this car. The interior has a profound effect on the people sitting inside the car as the interior is really enticing.
