TVS Apache RR310 BS6-Price, Features and Specifications

Heard about new Apache? Its now packs more features and advanced styling.

The Apache RR310 is TVS' flagship offering in the Indian market, and the bike's popularity seems to be growing day by day. It has recorded 132 percent YoY growth in sales last month. The entire package of bike is now updated including the handsome looks, comfortable ergonomic, powerful engine as well as premium quality, four rideing modes.

It has also received updates like ride-by-wire throttle, four rider modes, and a color TFT dash. Let's take a look at all its features:

Features

The biggest change in the model is it's fresh color TFT dash. It continues to be vertically stacked just like the previous LCD digital screen. The layout on the screen changes as per the riding mode you are in, with dark and day color options. You can control the screen via the ‘control cube,’ TVS’ lingo for the navigational buttons which are found on the left switch cluster.

New feature of bluetooth connectivity helps you manage your sound or call alerts on the go. Other extra features such as headlight and tail-light, LED DRLs, and slip and assist clutch and dual-channel ABS have been carried forward from 2019’s mid-life update. The dual-channel ABS would be tweaked to provide different levels of sensitivity but, sadly, it cannot be switched off either just on the back wheel or completely. Apart from this, it comes with higher set clip-on handlebars which offer a more relaxed upright riding position and split seats which provide enough padding for a comfortable ride.

Engine

The TVS Apache RR 310 is powered by a 312.2cc, single-cylinder engine with reverse-inclined. It produces 34PS and 27.3Nm, similar as BS4 avatar and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The new model provides excellent performance figures, with a top speed of 160km/h. Also, the model has been able to offer linear throttle maps.

The engine mounting points are damped higher and a bit revision has been done to the engine’s internals further. The RR310 provides good torque, smooth throughout and power at any rpm, 7000-9000. With the inclusion of ride-by-wire, the company has also introduced four riding maps on the RR 310 BS6.

Mileage

The mentioned model arrives with the fuel tank capacity of 11 litres. It balances good performance with decent mileage figures and provides a mileage of around 28km/l in the city, while on the highway it returns roughly 31km/l.

Design

Talking about the exterior dimensions the bike is 20001mm long, 786mm wide, and 1135mm in height. Other than that, the ground clearance is a respectable 180mm, and the kerb weight is 174 kg. Other subtle changes to the design are the fly screen which is mounted differently so that it doesn’t rattle quite like it used to. You might get two shades-Titanium Black and Racing Red, both of which bear the same price.

Price

The TVS Apache RR310 is the only one which is a single-cylinder motorbike, also it has received its BS6 update. It comes in at Rs 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 8000 more than the previous model. It will give stiff competition to the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the Benelli 302R, the Yamaha R3 and the KTM RC 390.
