Neeraj Chopra gets XUV700 Gold Edition as a gift from Anand Mahindra

Mahindra has handed over a customized XUV700 to Olympian Neeraj Chopra, who earned India's first gold medal in athletics at the Tokyo Olympics.  He posted an image on Twitter with a special XUV700 Javelin Gold Edition manufactured specifically for gold medalists.

While the new Mahindra XUV700 has a silver-plated Mahindra SUV logo, this XUV700 features a custom Satin Gold-plated Mahindra SUV logo. The model has a unique symbol displaying a javelin throw with the number 87.58 embossed on it. Apart from the badges, the XUV700 Gold Edition has a gold-plated front grille with vertical slats.

The Mahindra XUV700 has a range of models and variants. The SUV presented to Sumit is the top-of-the-line AX7L, equipped with luxury features like autonomous driving, a panoramic sunroof, and a Bose surround sound system. The cabin's interior accents with beautiful gold thread stitching on the seats and an IP Panel.

The XUV700 is available with a 2.0-liter GDI turbo petrol engine or a 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine. For both, there is a six-speed manual transmission option or an automatic torque converter unit.

The new flagship SUV price starts from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 22.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The company announced that deliveries of petrol variants would commence on October 30, while diesel-powered variants would begin in the last week of November 2021.
