The third-gen Suzuki Hayabusa was launched in India in April this year, and someone has already put one up for sale in the used motorcycle market.
Suzuki launched the third-gen of its flagship sports bike, Hayabusa in the county at price of Rs. 16.40 lakhs (ex-showroom). The first lot was sold out in three days while the second lot sold out in just 1 hour. It has been one of the most preferred choices among sports bike enthusiasts. Third generation Hayabusa is now available in the used motorcycle market.
Engine
The 2021 Hayabusa is powered by a 1340 cc, four-cylinder engine that churns out a peak torque of 190 PS at 9,700 rpm and 150 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. Additionally, it is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Now, the engine complies with BS6 emission norms. The company claims that the 3rd generation Hayabusa will carry a fuel efficiency of 18.06 kmpl.
Suzuki has redesigned the engine thoroughly. It is now equipped with new fuel injectors, lighter pistons, new connecting rods, updated cams, revised crankshaft, longer intakes, a new swirl promoting combustion chamber, new plating for the cylinder, and a new fuel injection system. Also, the company claims that it is the most quickest Hayabusa ever.
Changes
The height of seat is now 5 mm less at 800 mm. So, riders of short height will now feel more comfortable by keeping their toes on the ground. The length of the sports bike has been decreased by 10 mm. The handlebar position has been updated. The clip-ons now available at 12 mm nearer to the rider, therefore, not need to stretch out to hold the handlebars.
Features
One of the biggest updates to the 3rd generation Busa is the addition of the electronics suite. The instrument cluster is a semi-digital unit including TFT MID in the centre and multiple analogue dials. The bike comes with various features like cruise control, motion track brake system, wheelie control, hill hold control, active speed limiter, Suzuki Easy Start System, launch Control, LED headlights and taillights. Also, it gets a bi-directional quick-shifter.
