The much-awaited Meteor 350 from the stable of Royal Enfield seems to be taking longer than expected to hit the roads. Here are all the details.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 launch seems imminent but the official dates for the highly awaited motorcycle is yet to be announced. As the Royal Enfield enthusiasts patiently wait for its unveiling, a brochure-type document has surfaced online citing specifications, features, chassis details, and more, giving a categorical idea of what we can expect from the Meteor 350. We expect the Meteor 350 to cost around Rs 1.70 lakh, which is a premium of Rs 10,000-Rs 15,000 over the Thunderbird 350X.

Here is what all to expect

Different colours and variants

Leaked documents have confirmed that the motorcycle will be available in seven color options. The Fireball, which will be the base variant, will be offered in Fireball Yellow and Fireball Red. The Meteor 350 Stellar variant will be offered in three colors – Red Metallic, Black Matte, and Blue Metallic. The top-spec Supernova variant will be available in two paint options – Brown and Blue dual-tone paint schemes.

More Powerful Engine

The next-gen Royal Enfield Meteor will be powered by an all-new engine. Royal Enfield is done with the 500 cc segment in India. So, a smaller, maybe a 350-450 cc engine may be planned for the all-new Meteor.

All-new Platform

It has been in news for a long time that RE is developing a new platform for its upcoming motorcycles. And, now we can confirm that the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball will be based on the two-wheeler manufacturers new J1D platform which will be more modular and improved compared to the current platform that underpins Classic and Thunderbird series motorcycles.

New single-pod instrument console

Meteor 350 will sport a new twin-pod cluster instrument console with bluetooth connectivity. In the instrument console, the bigger pod will feature an analog speedometer while the smaller pod gets a TFT color display offering navigation details. The smaller unit will be called as a Tripper Navigation Unit. The Digital LCD Screen will have Odometer, Tripmeter, Fuel Graph Bar, and a Service reminder.
