2021 Triumph Trident 660 revealed

The much-awaited Triumph Trident 660 will be launched in India. Bookings for the motorcycle have already begun across all Triumph dealerships.

Triumph Trident is expected to launch in India in April 2021 with the price tag ranging between Rs 7,00,000-8,00,000. After the launch, it will be the most affordable offering in Triumph's portfolio. Another similar model is Yamaha MT 07 which will be launched in May 2021 in India. The Triumph Trident 660 is a middle-weight street bike which can cater to new bike owners and enthusiasts alike. It will be also a new entry point for beginners into Triumph's triple roadster line-up.

Features

The Trident 660 is loaded with features such as a TFT-LCD instrument cluster with optional smartphone connectivity, which will enable functions like phone call/ music control, a turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro control, bluetooth connectivity, etc. and full-LED lighting system.

In addition, the motorcycle also gets ride-by-wire, two riding modes: Road and Rain and ABS traction control. There will be new full-colour TFT display with optional 'My Triumph' connectivity system as well. It also provides an optional bi-directional quick shifter as standard, for the enthusiasts.

Engine

On the mechanical front, the Triumph Trident 660 gets an in-line three-cylinder engine which displaces 660cc. It is liquid-cooled and it generates 81PS at 10,250rpm along with peak torque output of 64Nm at 6,250rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.

Breaks

The motorcycle is based on a tubular steel perimeter frame and rides on 17-inch cast-aluminium alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Road 5 rubber. The motorcycle gets 41mm Showa USDs along with Showa monoshock that is adjustable, while speed shedding is done by a pair of 310mm twin discs for the front and a 255mm single disc at the rear both with a single-piston Nissin callipers.
