Volvo Car India has launched a lifetime parts warranty scheme that enables customers to repair their cars without incurring labor costs. For the first time in India, a scheme covering parts bought beyond the standard warranty period and fitted at an approved workshop would include a lifetime warranty.
Volvo Car India introduced lifetime parts warranty scheme to its customers on Tuesday. The customer lifetime parts warranty is valid beginning October 1, 2021, and must be fitted by a Volvo-authorized workshop, the manufacturer stated in a statement.
The warranty will begin on the date of purchase of the component and continues as long as the car's ownership does not change. The part and labor costs include under the warranty plan.
"First time in India a premium customer would profit from such scheme. It is a one-of-a-kind offer in the car industry, providing customers with worry-free and safe car ownership, "Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India, said.
If a client needs a part replaced for their car, the firm will provide a lifetime warranty on the part, she said.
“When you buy a part, your warranty starts, and it lasts until the car and its owner are same. The warranty will terminate if the car transferred to a new registered owner, "Malhotra said.
Volvo Cars began operations in India in 2007 and now offers models such as XC 60 and XC 40 via a network of 25 dealerships throughout the country.
