Volkswagen Vento Review

Volkswagen Vento is known for its understated class and design. With a solid build and reliable performance, it is one of the most desirable cars.

Volkswagen Vento 2020, with its all-new 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, brings solid performance to the table . This engine replaces the entire range of old VW engines including a 1.6-liter naturally suctioned petrol engine, 1.2-liter turbo-petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel engine. Now it is only available in a 6-speed manual transmission.

In this review, we will have a look at the all features of this car including its exterior, interior, and engine options. Pricing and safety features will also be discussed.

Exterior

Over the years, Vento has been a sedan with understated elegance and clean design. This 2020 version has the same style as the 2019-façelift, as it has a Polo GTI-inspired front bumper, a DRL, and a 16-inch alloy wheel with headlamps. The Vento has rock stability on the roads and its ability to mask speed like a much larger car is truly impressive. It is also good to absorb road shocks at low speeds. This Volkswagen car strikes a good balance between driving comfort and fun driving. In an overall sense, the exterior of this car is sturdy and attractive. The design is enticing and it is worth considering this car based on the exterior of this car.

The TSI Vento is not as modern or spacious as its competitors. You can get superb performance based on solid construction and a sense of stability and safety. Then there's the very nice TSI engine, which is really characterized by its smooth and enjoyable efficiency and its mature driving methods.

Interior

Like the exterior, even the interior of the 2019 façade lift retains its solid structure, its high-quality plastics, and its comfortable seating. Some may prefer its minimalist design and layout, but one can look at them with a broader perspective in the middle of the competition. In comparison to modern screen standards, even the touchscreen appears small. What's good, however, is the inclusion of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and while it's pretty basic to operate, it works better than the Android heavy app system from Skoda Rapid.

The USB slot is included in the infotainment system below the screen and requires a long cable to connect your smartphone to the system. This position is even better than the Rapid USB slot in the glove-box.  Overall front and rear seating comfort are good, and this is a cozy 4-seater sedan. Due to the narrow sitting width and large floor slope, the rear passenger will not feel comfortable, but the latter gives the structure a torsional rigidity.

Its characteristics include LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay touchscreen, four airbags, reverse camera as well as the aforementioned cosmetic improvements. Vento list still lacks features such as ESP, sunscreen, cooled seats, auto headlamps, wireless charging, tyre-pressure monitor, and curtain airbags.

Engine Options

The Engine produces 110hp and 175Nm of torque, which is 5hp greater than the old 1.2-liter, the turbo-powered four-cylinder engine it replaces. The direct injection is provided with this TSI engine, which means that a precise amount of fuel is directed into the cylinder at extremely high pressures (up to 350bar).

This small engine takes some time to move, so you have to wait for a little to make the most of this 1.0-liter engine. But past the 2000 rpm, the TSI drive has its own power supply, which smoothly flows in and torque is so large that its powerful performance and effortless nature actually surprises you.

The 3-cylinder unit floats in idle, conveying mild vibrations, but it flushes out on the move. With short throws and well-defined doors. The new 6-speed manual transmission is a delight to utilize and feels nice and smooth.

Safety Features

All the necessary safety features like airbags, ABS, and driver warning systems are accompanied in this car. All these safety features make this car one of the safest cars to drive. The safety features that are offered with this car is a big plus point for the users of this car.

Pricing

For a decade now the Volkswagen Vento shows its superiority in certain areas especially its interior. At Rs. 10.99 lakh, the RSI version (limited) is offered. It lacks several characteristics such as ESP, curtain airbags, sunroof, and anything as simple as a starting switch.
