Top upcoming launches from Maruti Suzuki in 2022

Maruti Suzuki is India's best-selling car manufacturer, and the company intends to maintain that position in 2022. While the pandemic has already impacted production of several carmakers this year, Maruti Suzuki has many cars scheduled for 2022. Let's take a closer look and see what the following months have to offer.

1.   New Baleno

The Baleno is one of Maruti Suzuki's best-selling cars in the domestic market, and it presently dominates the premium hatchback segment. However, the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20 are giving it a tough competition. Recent online sources say Baleno is expecting a substantial update.

The interior of the new Baleno will get a new dashboard, center console and a floating touchscreen infotainment system.

Additionally, it will update the surface treatments and seat upholstery with metallic elements. Along with GPS and Bluetooth connectivity, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 might have a slew of in-car connectivity features due to the newest SmartPlay Studio compatibility. It will have a new multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, Cruise control, and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

2.   New Alto 800

The digitally designed 2022 Alto 800 sport edition has new alloy wheels on the side profile. The rearview mirrors and the obscured A, B, and C pillars. The tinted glass on the windows and redone windshield. Components such as the side turn signals and the antenna mounted on the A-pillar remove to create a clutter-free appearance.

3.   New Creta-rivalling SUV

Toyota's joint venture with Maruti Suzuki is developing a new SUV for the Indian market. It will target South Korean carmakers which now dominate the small SUV segment with the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. Additionally, it will compete with Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun. The new model should be available in about a year.

The new model will be available in two variants: Maruti Suzuki and Toyota, and both versions will have a distinct style theme and a distinct collection of soft components. But the SUVs will share sheet metal, platform, engines, and features.

4.   New Vitara Brezza

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are developing the new model together, and Toyota will also market the SUV under its brand as the next-generation Urban Cruiser. Although little information about the car is available, rumors say a 1.5-liter petrol-electric hybrid powertrain would power it.

Maruti's future 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine would very certainly be available here as well. The new Vitara Brezza will likely include several convenience and safety features not seen on the current model, such as an electric sunroof and up to six airbags.

5.   Maruti Ciaz 2022

The Maruti Ciaz is a car that nails the basics. As a sedan, it offers utmost comfort and the ease of driving. It will receive a safety upgrade with the inclusion of six airbags. Interiors will undergo a significant overhaul, including a change in the color scheme. We'd like to see ventilated seats in a car in that class, but Maruti may not include them. Additionally, a platform change will happen in 2022, likely improving the vehicle's structural safety.

6.   Facelifted S-Cross

Maruti Suzuki's S-Cross was never a big seller. Maruti is currently designing a new S-Cross. It will replace the existing S-Cross, which has started showing its age and is not selling well.

The S-Cross will have all-new exterior styling. Suzuki will also revamp the S-cross interior. The engine will have hybrid technology to reduce the vehicle's emissions and improve its fuel efficiency. Toyota will assist Suzuki in electrification of its engines.

7.   Facelifted Ertiga

Maruti launched the second-generation Ertiga MPV in 2018. It outperformed its predecessor in nearly every category, providing a spacious, comfortable, and useful seven-seat package. Maruti will give the Ertiga a facelift, as it has been on the market for nearly three years. This facelift will most likely include minor style and feature updates similar to the Swift and Dzire. The updated Ertiga will be available with the same petrol engine as the current model.

If you're in the market for a new car in 2022, Maruti Suzuki has a variety of intriguing alternatives that will soon be available on Indian roads. If you're on a budget and searching for a car that's unmatched in terms of performance and price, you can consider these Maruti Suzuki models.
