Next generation of Mahindra XUV500 was long due. However, Mahindra stopped all the speculations by naming is latest SUV as XUV700.
We have long been waiting for Mahindra and Mahindra to launch the next generation of its popular front-wheel drive SUV XUV500. It seems the wait is finally over. Mahindra has codenamed the global SUV project as W601.
However, there is a twist! Mahindra has announced that the new vehicle will be called XUV700. The latest SUV is expected to be launched in the second quarter of FY22. Mahindra will manufacture the latest SUV at is Chakan facility in Maharashtra.
The Indian auto major uncurtained the name of the SUV in a video that featured the young team at Mahindra. The team is responsible of creating the vehicle. The name of the new SUV will be pronounced as 'XUV seven double O'.

Mahindra XUV700 will offer both petrol and diesel engine option mated to both automatic and manual transmission options. The top spec will also offer 4-wheel-drive (4WD) option.
Mahindra has also revealed that the latest SUV will offer all the bells and whistles including sci-fi tech, great performance, and several first-in-class features along with required safety equipments.
Speculations are also rife that Mahindra will continue selling the existing XUV500 model in the market along with upcoming XUV700.
