Elon Musk has launched the most important project of 2022, Tesla Bot, a humanoid robot. It is internally called "Optimus" based upon the Transformers cartoon series by Hasbro.
The company also revealed that it will be using its self-driving technology to enable the robot to understand the surroundings.
Robot would stand around 5'8 inches tall and weight approximately 20 kilos. It has a weighing capacity of 20 kilos and it would be controlled through AI, the backbone of Tesla EV's.
Initially, Optimus would be programmed to do repeatable tasks and assist with its own manufacturing operations. It could help in solving the employment related issues.
Tesla was aiming to launch this humanoid robot ready by the end of September, 2022.
