Following Terms and Conditions are to be read together with the Privacy Policy. All terms used in the Terms and Conditions shall have the same meaning as defined in the Privacy Policy, unless otherwise specifically defined.
CarInfo App shall hereinafter be referred to as ‘CarInfo’ or ‘App’ and the users who have downloaded this app on either iOS or Android platform and are using the app shall be referred to as ‘User’ for all legal, operational and other purposes.
This App is offered to the Users and is conditioned on User’s acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and notices, as updated from time to time on the App. The User’s acceptance shall be deemed from the date and time the User downloads this App and starts using it.
All use of the App by Users and utilization by the App of the Non-Personal information are subject to the following terms, conditions and notices. Your use of this App constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices, including any amendments carried out to the terms and conditions subsequently. If you do not agree with these terms and conditions then you are not authorized to use this App.
These Terms and Conditions of use and any additional terms posted on this App together constitute the entire agreement between CarInfo and Users with respect to the use of this App.
About Us
CarInfo is one-stop App for all automobile related services and provides end to end automobile services to the Users. CarInfo is available on both iOS and Android platforms. In respect of providing vehicle data related services, CarInfo is an Intermediary in terms of Section 2(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

User Information
CarInfo does not disclose any details apart from the details publicly by Government Parivahan Service. Only Non-Personal Information of the User or publicly available information about vehicles as uploaded by Government Parivahan Service may be saved on CarInfo’s database for the purpose of improving CarInfo’s services, as has been described in detail under the Privacy Policy. Personal Information of the User shall only be saved after taking due consent of the concerned User. CarInfo is authorised to delete all such Non-Personal and Personal Information from its database without any notice to the Users. The Users undertake to not make any claim regarding the saving of this Information in CarInfo’s database.
Availability
CarInfo will employ reasonable commercial efforts to keep the App available on a full day basis on all platforms, subject to necessary scheduled downtime for maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, and system outages. CarInfo cannot promise that access to the App will be uninterrupted or available at all times. CarInfo assumes no liability or responsibility for any delay, interruption or downtime.
Functionality
Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi, or provided by your mobile network provider, but CarInfo cannot take responsibility for the App not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.
If the App is being used outside of an area with Wi-Fi, User should remember that their terms of the agreement with their mobile network provider will still apply. As a result, User may be charged by their mobile provider for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while accessing the App, or other third party charges. In using the App, User hereby accepts responsibility for any such charges, including roaming data charges if User uses the App outside of their home territory (i.e. region or country) without turning off data roaming. If you are not the bill payer for the device on which you’re using the App, it shall be presumed that you have received permission from the bill payer for using the App.
Updates
The app is currently available on Android and iOS – the requirements for both systems may change, and Users will need to download the updates if they want to keep using the App. CarInfo does not promise that it will always update the App so that it is relevant to User and/or works with the iOS/Android version that User has installed on their device. However, the User undertakes to always accept updates to the application when such updates are offered to Users. CarInfo at its discretion may stop providing the services on the App, and may terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to the Users. Unless otherwise, upon any termination, (a) the rights and licenses granted to Users in these terms will end; (b) Users must stop using the app, and (if needed) delete it from their device.
Security
It shall be the responsibility of the User to keep their phone and access to the app secure. CarInfo recommends that the User does not jailbreak or root their phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features and hinder the proper functioning of the App.
Disclaimer for Vehicle Data Information
Our Platform does not constitute and should not be regarded as a recommendation or endorsement of the accuracy and correctness of information about details of vehicles provided by Government Parivahan Service. In case of any inaccurate information about vehicle details uploaded by Government Parivahan Service and the same inaccurate information is extracted by the User from CarInfo, no claim whatsoever shall lie against CarInfo in such a situation. Our Service is made available for only permitted and legal use of the information and details so extracted. Any illegal or unauthorised use of this information shall be solely attributable to the User and CarInfo cannot be made liable for such illegal and unauthorized use of the information by the User.
Changes to the Terms and Conditions
CarInfo may update the Terms and Conditions from time to time. Users are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page. Users who are not in agreement with the changes in these Terms and Conditions are advised to stop using the services and delete the Application. Continued use of this App post these changes shall constitute an implied consent of the Users to these Terms and Conditions.
Third-Party Websites Links
CarInfo may have hyperlinks concerning third party entities/apps/websites. Containing these links on our App shall not be construed as an endorsement to these entities/apps/websites. If the User visits any of these entities/apps/websites by clicking on a link from CarInfo, any further transaction outside the realm of CarInfo App shall be entirely at the risk of the user and CarInfo in any event cannot be made liable for it.
Payment Mechanism
CarInfo will never charge Users for the App or its services without making it very clear to the User exactly what they are paying for.
Compliance with Laws
It is hereby agreed by both the User and CarInfo that all applicable laws shall be complied with.
Indemnification
The user shall indemnify, hold harmless and release CarInfo, and any of its partners, agents, employees, officers, shareholders, affiliates and assigns against any and all losses, liabilities, claims, damages, demands, costs and expenses including reasonable attorneys' fees and expenses, of third parties relating to or arising out of your use or misuse of the of the App, any violation by the User of these stipulated terms and conditions, or any breach of representations, warranties and covenants made by the User. The terms of this provision will survive any termination or cancellation of this Agreement or your use of the App.
CarInfo cannot always take responsibility for the way User uses the app. User needs to make sure that your device stays charged – if it runs out of battery and you can’t turn it on to avail the Service, CarInfo cannot accept responsibility. CarInfo accepts no liability for any loss, direct or indirect, you experience as a result of relying wholly on this functionality of the App.
Intellectual Property
CarInfo is the owner of all intellectual property rights (copyright, trade marks, design rights etc.) in the App, and in the content published on it, except the information and details of vehicles which are made available by Government Parivahan Service. The content being referred here includes all articles, blogs, reviews, comments, Trending or any other content published on the App. CarInfo cannot guarantee the correctness, completeness, accuracy or quality of the Content.
Users are not authorized to attempt to extract the source code of the app, or try to translate the app into other languages, or make derivative versions.
Also they are not authorized to use the app's brand, title, logo, or name in a manner that may result in misleading users.
CarInfo at its sole discretion reserves the right to block User's access to this Application and its content at any time, with or without notice.
Jurisdiction
This App originates from Delhi. This Agreement will be governed by the laws of India which shall be applicable without regard to its conflict of law principles to the contrary. By using this App, the User accedes and consents to the jurisdiction of Courts of Delhi.
