Toyota has released the first teaser of their new premium hatchback, Glanza and will launching the facelift on 15th March. Also, they reveals some cosmetic changes that will be available on the Glanza including new voice command feature.
Interior
Toyota hasn't revealed the interior in full, but it will get a large infotainment system with a 9.0-inch unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on offer. It is confirmed that the presence of voice assistant will be there with a different color to give a different look to the lower dashboard.
Exterior
The Glanza get the same basic design as Baleno with a different grille. The shape of headlamps and the projector setup is same as Baleno. However, the LED Daytime Running Lamps will be different on both the hatchbacks. The Baleno gets three elements for the LED DRLs while the Glanza gets an LED strip. The rest of the car will be the same.
Features
In terms of features, we expect Glanza to be much same as the new Baleno. so, it comes loaded with cruise control, 360 degree camera, head-up display, auto climate control, multi-information display, push button to start/shop the engine, rear AC vents, keyless entry and more. The HUD shows climate control, blower speed, tachometer, fuel efficiency, gear indicator and time.
Engine
Glanza will be equipped with only 1.2 litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 90 PS of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, you have two choices, a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.
Toyota Glanza will be offered in top variant equivalent to Baleno and will go against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and the upcoming Citroen C3.
