Tata Tiago XT(O) variant launched for budget customers

Tata Motors has silently added a new XT (O) variant to the Tiago hatchback with a price tag of Rs 5.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). To be available only with a five-speed manual transmission, the new XT(O) trim is positioned between the base XE and mid XT trims.

Compared to the XE trim, the new XT(O) variant is more costlier by ₹ 48,000. However, with this extra money, the new variant features like 14-inch steel rims, body-colored door ORVMs with LED turn indicator, 2.5-inch IMD, tachometer, piano black finish around infotainment system, body-colored door handles, rear power windows, premium piano black finish on steering wheel, day & night IRVM, interior lamps, day & night IRVM, speed-dependent auto door lock, electrically adjustable ORVMs, four speakers, keyless entry, steering mounted controls and more.

Safety features on the hatchback includes ABS, dual front airbags, EBD, and reverse parking sensors.

Also, the new variant is ₹ 15,000 cheaper than the XT variant. And, miss out the features like USB along with AM/FM, speed-dependent volume control, ConnectNext infotainment by Harman, and rear parking camera. However, these can be opted by customers as accessories from the dealerships.

Mechanically, the new Tiago XT(O) has been offered with the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine and 5-speed manual transmission gearbox combo only. It is capable of producing 85bhp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm.
