A youth bought his dream bike, new Bajaj Dominar worth Rs 2.6 lakh, paid entire amount in one-rupee coins in Salem on Saturday. It took the staff 10 hours to count 3 years of savings, which was brought in a van and then offloaded in wheelbarrows.
V Boopathi had saved Rs 1 coin over 3 years. Later, he collected his savings and took the coins to buy his dream bike.
Showroom manager denied to accept these coins but later accepted to satisfy the customer.
As the saying goes, many a little makes a mickle. Boobathi managed to fill his piggy bank with Re 1 coins daily and purchased the bike he always wanted to have.
