Renault Triber- The Dreamy 7 Seater

Renault Triber was launched in India in August 2019. Within just two months of its launch, it managed to sell more than 10,000 units. What makes Triber such a catch?

Engine

Triber only comes with a petrol engine. The 1-litre petrol engine comes with 3-cylinders and mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The current mill under the hood churns 72bhp of power with 96Nm of torque. Its ARAI certified fuel-efficiency is 20kmpl. Renault is also planning to launch an AMT version in the future.

Styling

Triber has the dimensions of a hatchback but offers an SUV like seating stance for the driver. It is the only vehicle in the Indian automobile market offering a 7-seat set up while being shorter than 4 meters in length. But the car has been styled cleverly to give it the look of an SUV. Its bonnet has been smartly squeezed to increase the cabin space.

Interiors

The roomy cabin has an all-digital instrument cluster with a unique tachometer, digital speedometer along with a multi-information display. It shows information like fuel efficiency, trip odometer and distance to empty among others.

Triber comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The two-toned dashboard looks premium and is well integrated with the infotainment of the car.

The passenger side of the dashboard gets two glove boxes and the lower one is cooled. The compartment between the two front seats is also cooled and can store small cans of juice and pack of chocolates.

Triber also offers separate AC vent controls for the rear passenger seat.

The seats in the second row can be slid back and forth and the backrest can be reclined. The third row comes equipped with 2 single seats and can be folded to increase the boot space of the car. If you need more space, you can also fold the middle row of the Triber to squeeze in almost anything.

Renault claims that there are more than 100 seating combinations possible in Triber by adjusting the middle and rear row of seats. Will all seats up, Renault Triber offers a boot space of 84 litres, with six seats up, boot space increases to 320 litres and if you use it as a 5 seater with just middle row up then you get a massive boot space of 625 litres.

With so much to offer, the booming sales of Renault Triber can be well-explained.
