Gurugram Traffic Police has decided to increase the amount of fines to crack down on traffic violations. The city traffic police will charge 10 times more for driving in wrong lane.
As per the new rules, a person have to pay maximum 5,500 for driving on the wrong side of the road. Earlier, the traffic police charge 500 fine for driving on the wrong side of the road. Now, the traffic police have added 5,000 challan for dangerous driving. When both violations are included, one will have to pay 5,500.
In recent times, the police increased the fines for traffic violations. If you are driving without a DL, you'll be fined 5,000. In another case, if you are driving without a seat belt or riding without helmet on two-wheeler, you'll be fined 1,000 each and 3,000 for false or fake number plates.
As per the traffic police, one in every five accidents is caused by driving on wrong sides of the roads.
