Odisha govt extends the deadline for HSRP by one month

The Odisha government has decided to extend the deadline for installing the High Security Registration Plate on vehicles registered before April 1 2019 by one month, i.3 October 31.

The Transport Authority issued a notification updating the previous deadline set for fixation of the HSRP on vehicles with number plate ending with 1,2,3 and 4 by September 30.

Similarly, the deadline for registration vehicles with number ending with 5,6,7 and 8 will be November 30 and December 31 respectively. However, the vehicles ending with 9 and 0 will have to affix the HSRP by January 31, 2023.

The authority has also launched an online booking service to pre-book the high security number plates and color-coded stickers for old vehicles in Odisha

No fine or e-challan shall be taken against any old vehicle registered prior to 1 April, 2019 for plying vehicles without HRSP if the owner has an online booking slip.
