Noida and Greater Noida Police will begin verifying documents of vehicles that are sold more than once. Owners of such vehicles should renew their RC, or the vehicles will be seized.
The commissioner of Guatam Buddh Nagar is set to launch a campaign for random checks and document verification of vehicle owned by more than one person. Police teams in all three zones - Noida, Central Noida, and Greater Noida.
The initiative is taken in the investigation of recent hit-and-run case reported in Greater Noida on New year's eve in which three students were hit by a speeding car.
One student was badly injured and had to go undergo the brain surgery. It took more than 14 days to track down the car and arrest the driver.
