The Central Government is planning to remove all the toll plazas from National Highways to reduce the traffic congestion on the highway which usually sees long queues of cars at these toll booths.
The latest plan is to install cameras to monitor the traffic which will help in deducting the tax without any human interaction.
The alternate solution for this is setting up of ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Reader) cameras. It has an ability to read the number plates of all the cars passing through.
