No more petrol, diesel cabs in Delhi

Delhi will be launching the new policy for aggregators with a significant push towards electric vehicles. As per reports, the policy has been finalised and will be given to approve shortly. It will make mandatory for all taxi companies, e-commerce, food delivery to deploy all-electric fleets by April 2030.

It has been formulated to facilitate a smooth transition to provide clean fuel in a phased manner.  

"Delhi will have an all-electric fleet for cabs and other e-commerce entities by April 1, 2030. We have already achieved remarkable success in the field of electric vehicles as Delhi has the highest penetration of EVs in India," Minister Gahlot told Times of India.

The policy has a phased plan for electric vehicle adoption. According to this, the entire commercial vehicles will electric vehicle by April 2030. This will help to reduce pollution level in Delhi.
