No CNG sale in Delhi today

CNG pumps in Delhi to remain shut today till 10 PM due to the protests against delay in electricity bills reimbursement to CNG dealers.

Delhi Petrol Dealers Association (DPDA) said in a letter to Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) the utility provider in Delhi.

DPDA president said that they are forced to take this step due to reluctance shown by IGL to pay the electricity reimbursement of CNG facilities to the dealers of Delhi who are facing financial crises each month.

As per the association, they did not agree to reimburse the actual electricity charges consumed by the dealers in dispensing CNG. Dealers waited patiently for two years and followed all the instructions given by IGL and OMCs to install separate sub-meters, wrote in the letter.

IGL officers created hurdles all along the process and after wasting two years, made them realise that the whole process will never be completed.
