Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the captain of Indian cricket team and very well known automotive enthusiast. He owns expensive superbikes and a lot of classic vintage cars. He recently buys Yamaha RD350 for himself. It is finished in yellow color.
RD350 was launched in India in 1983. It was sold in two variants, LT and HT version, where LT stands for Low Torque and HT stands for High Torque. The LT version produce max power of 27 bhp and HT version produce 31 bhp of max power.
It was the fastest motorcycle at that time with a top speed of up to 160 kmph in 6th gear. Also, it could reach 100 kmph in just 7 to 8 seconds, which was very fast at that time.
RD was known as Racing Death. The company did not produce the RD350 with disc brakes. However, owners still installed after-market disc brakes on their RD's.
