MINI Cooper SE was launched internationally in 2019 and has arrived in India through the CBU route. The three-door electric hatchback from MINI is roughly 145 kg heavier than the petrol variant yet looks very similar to its ICE version. The Cooper SE's grille is replaced with a smooth body panel with many chrome accents and the 'E' badge, similar to most other EVs.

Along with new aero-optimized wheels, this three-door electric hatchback has neon yellow highlights both on the exterior and inside the hatchback. The new MINI Cooper SE has a 32.6kWh lithium-ion battery that MINI claims would provide a driving range of 270 kilometers per charge. The battery pack is connected to a motor that produces 184 hp and 270 Nm of peak torque.

The Cooper SE and go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.3 seconds and has an electronically limited peak speed of 150 kilometers per hour. An 11kW charger can charge the electric hatchback from 0 to 80% in 2.5 hours, while a 50kW DC fast charger can charge it from 0% to 80% in 36 minutes. The new MINI Cooper SE is presently the most affordable premium electric vehicle in India, with no direct competitors.

The MINI Cooper SE is already a huge success in India. Bookings for the first batch began in October 2021 and got sold out in a few days. The car arrived as a completely built unit (CBU) on our shores and is an excellent addition to the luxury four-wheeler segment.

An oval-shaped LED headlight, a large hexagonal grille, and a black roof complete the look of the MINI Cooper SE.

B-pillars are blacked out, ORVMs are yellow, and 17-inch alloy wheels are standard. The rear part has an antenna mounted on the roof and LED taillights. There are four color options: Moonwalk Gray, White Silver Metallic, and British Racing Green IV Metallic.

Electric Mini Cooper has a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera

There is a Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel, Harman Kardon sound system, and an automatic parking brake in the inside of the MINI Cooper SE.

On the inside, you'll find a 5.5-inch color driver's display and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay support. Airbags and a 360-degree camera protect the occupants.
