Mercedes-Benz has launched A-Class Limousine in India with the introductory ex-showroom price tag of Rs 39.90 lakh. It has also launched the AMG spec of the sedan.
Mercedes has officially launched the A-Class Limousine at starting ex-showroom price of ₹39.90 lakh. The entry-level luxury sedan will be offered in three variants including A 200, A 200D, and A 35 AMG. Marcedes says that the car is built to target young buyers and customers eyeing to enter the luxury car space. Instantly after the launch, the car has got great response and is sold out for a couple of months.
The diesel variant is priced at ₹40.90 lakh and the AMG one will come at ₹56.24 lakh (ex showroom prices).
It will be offered with three engine and two transmission options. The car will be assembled locally. The 1.3-litre petrol turbo petrol engine will churn out 161 bhp of power and 250 Nm torque. 2.0-litre diesel engine will produce 147 bhp of powers and 320 Nm of peak torque. However, if you are an enthusiast ten A 35 AMG is the one to pick. It is powered by 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It produce the power of massive 302 bhp and 400 Nm of torque.
Mercedes will also offer 8 years warranty on both engine and transmission on all variants.
A-Class limousine will offer a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, two 10.25 inch screens, reverse camera, and more.
Mercedes Benz India aims to register strong sales with the A-Class Limousine given its attractive price point, engine options, and features.
"We are confident the A-Class will set a new benchmark in the segment and attract a lot of new customers to the Three Pointed Star," said Martin Schwenk, MD and CEO at Mercedes-Benz India
Mercedes A 35 AMG is the second AMG after AMG GLC 43 Coupe that is locally produced in India. Mercedes aims to reach luxury and performance car buyers through the AMG brand.
