Maruti Suzuki to launch Grand Vitara, bookings open

Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its new mid-size SUV which will be called Grand Vitara Brezza. Bookings for the same have commenced from today with Rs 11,000 and the model will be sold under Nexa retail chain. The vehicle will be unveiled on July 20.

As of now, the company only has two SUVs in the form of the recently launched Brezza and S-Cross.

In terms of updates, it is most likely to get a 9-inch infotainment system, an electric sunroof, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, and leatherette upholstery.

Under the hood, there could be 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine with a manual and a six-speed automatic transmission.

Both Toyota and Maruti have combined to launch mid-size SUV which would be sold as two separate models under each of the two brands.

It will compete the likes of Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruise Hyryder, and Hyundai Creta.
