Maruti Suzuki has now expanded in car subscription service in 4 more cities. It plans to reach around 60 cities in the next 3 years.
Maruti Suzuki, India has now launched its car subscription business in four more cities - Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar. Mumbai includes Navi Mumbai and Thane area as well. So far, the company's special car subscription programme was only available in Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Pune.
After the latest expansion of cities, the subscription service by Maruti Suzuki is now available in a total of eight cities across the country. India's leading automaker is now also working towards further expanding the programme and introducing it in 40-60 cities in the next two to three years.
This time too, the company has partnered with ORIX Auto Infrastructure Services India, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation, Japan, to introduce the service for individual customers in these four cities, which allows them to use a brand-new car by paying an all-inclusive monthly fee, without actually having to own it.
The monthly fee also covers maintenance and insurance for the complete tenure. Additionally, if customers do not have to make a down-payment, a security deposit has to be paid while subscribing to a car. At the end of the selected tenure, the customer has a choice to return the vehicle, extend the service, upgrade to a new model, or even buy the car at market price.
Through this service, customers can choose to subscribe to a new Swift, Dzire, Vitara Brezza and Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki ARENA showrooms. They can also choose from a new Baleno, Ciaz and XL6 which are part of the brand's NEXA premium showroom experience. The cars offered in these cities under company's subscribe plan will come with white number plates, which means it will be registered in the name of the customer.
Customers can choose a plan upto 48 months and have to pay a monthly subscription charge for Swift Lxi model for a tenure of 48 months starts as low as Rs 15,368 in Mumbai, Rs 15,196 in Chennai, Rs 14,665 in Ahmedabad, and Rs 14,691 in Gandhinagar. All prices mentioned are inclusive of all taxes.
