The most awaited XUV 400 electric compact is launched in India. It goes on sale in two variants, EC and EL, with a price tag of Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This prices is only available for first 5,000 bookings. The bookings will officially begin from January 26, 2023.
The e-SUV is available in five shades - Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, Arctic Blue, Infinity Blue, and Everest White. Customers will get an option of dual-tone paint with Satin copper roof.
Interior
The cabin has copper highlights on centre console and steering wheel. It is also equipped with 7.0-inch touchscreen, manual AC, connected car tech, electronic stability control (ESC), cornering brake control, and a sunroof. It's safety kit has 6 airbags, and ISOFIX child seat.
Engine
It is offered with two battery options - 34.5 kWh, offering 375 km of range and 39.4 kWh, offering 456 km per charge. They generates 150 PS and 310 Nm of torque.
Mahindra claims a sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds and a top-speed of 150 kmph. It also hs multiple charge modes, Fun, Fast and Fearless.
Warranty
It is offered with a standard warranty of 3 years/unlimited kms and 8 years,1,60,000 kms (whichever is earlier) for battery and motor.
Competition
XUV 400 will give a tough competition to Tata Nexon EV Prime and Max. In terms of affordability, it will compete with MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona.
