Hyundai Creta facelift spotted testing with new design details

Hyundai Creta is one of the most loves SUVs in the Indian market. Hyundai has started testing the facelift version of the second-gen Creta.

A latest spy image of the second-gen Hyundai Creta facelift has surfaced online. The spy image suggests that the mid-cycle update will have styling cues from the new Tucson that was launched globally last year.

The body shell of the SUV would be more or less unchanged, however, the heavier camouflage didn't reveal the design cues much. The headlamps will be more rectangular and sit lower on the front. The parametric grille design is looking prominent in the new picture. LED DRLs seamlessly blended into the headlamps. The bonnet and bumper are feature latest styling.

The second-gen Creta currently comes with a pair of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, along with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit. Both, the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines are mated to either a manual or automatic gearbox. The turbo-petrol unit is offered only with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. These engine options are likely to remain.

The second-gen Creta was launched in 2019 as the ix25 in China. India-spec SUV debuted at the 2020 Auto Expo last February. The mid-size SUV is hardly over a year old for the Indian market. We can expect the facelifted Creta to come in international markets anytime in 2022. The India launch is likely to happen sometime after that.
