DIY: Installation of DashCam

DashCam is one device that helps owners to drive more safely and keep an eye on their surroundings while they move. There are many available in the market either online or offline. However, installing one isn't a tougher task and can be done by owner himself. Here's a step by step guide:

Charge the DashCam battery if necessary

Check if the DashCam comes with an internal battery. If it does, then it will require charging before installation. The battery can be charged using the car's 12V socket as well, after installation.

Find the right spot

The DashCam should be positioned at the right spot. It should be placed within arm's reach of the driver or front passenger. But, definitely not in the direction that obstructs the driver's view.

Check the cable length

After finding the right spot, always check for the length of the cable. Ensure that the cable reaches the socket after being organised by routing around the window. Always opt for 12V spot.

Route, clip and hide cable

Make sure that you route the cable correctly, clip it correctly, and hide from being seen or obstructing the view. Once it is done, you are ready to mount the DashCam on the dashboard.
