Honda may discontinue diesel cars in India

Honda is planning to discontinue diesel cars in India due to increased focus on clean and sustainable mobility.

Honda is close to driving its first premium SUV that will take a drive on the models from Hyundai, Tata Motors, and Maruti is working on adding hybrids on its upcoming line-up.

The Honda HR-V is expected to be brought in India. But it will be available on petrol-only.

The company works on the fleet electrification strategy, it is closely working on discontinuing diesel vehicles as the country moves to RDE ( Real Driving Edition) norms from April next year, 2023.
