Hero MotoCorp, India's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers has unveiled the name of its new upcoming EV venture, 'Vida' on 3rd March, 2022. The first electric vehicle under the Vida brand will be launched on July 1, 2022, on the birth anniversary of Dr. Brijmohan Lall, Chairman Emeritus of Hero MotoCorp. And, it will get dispatch to customers in later 2022.
Hero MotoCorp has decided to launch a new brand name after feud with Hero Electric above retaining the Hero brand name. This matter went to the courts where Hero Electric, a separate company then Hero MotoCorp was awarded with the rights to retain the Hero tag.
Hero Dr. Pawan Munjal said that the brand name 'Vida' means life and its main purpose is to create a positive impact on the world and move us all forward in meaningful ways. They believe that the name is perfect for what we are building for our children and for the next generation.
Dr Munjal added, “When I see our future generations, especially my grandchildren, all I want to do is build a future of optimism, a future of positive energy, a future which is clean, where everyone has something to look forward to and participate in something bigger and better. With the creation of ‘Vida’ we will offer everyone the opportunity to thrive, grow and live better while continuing to move the way they want. I will lead this initiative from the front.
