Forty luxury cars get stolen in Delhi, taking inspiration from 'Fast & Furious'

Three men stole 40 luxury cars using sophisticated hacking devices including GPS jammers, scanners, and remote-control cars across Delhi NCR since last month.

The three accused got arrested and the police said that they are inspired by the Hollywood movie ' Fast & Furious'. They sold luxury cars to grab expensive deals.

These men used scanners to unlock the luxury cars followed by using a jammer to ensure that the stolen cars could not be tracked.

The accused also disclosed that by using the software-based hacking device, they unlock cars and after formatting the vehicle's software, install another. This allows them to create new keys for stolen vehicles within two-three minutes. Also, they park stolen vehicles in areas where CCTV cameras are not installed.

Officials said that accused have stolen cars from Tilak Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Paschim Vihar, Subhash Nagar, Munirka, and Dwarka.
