The upcoming next-gen Ford Endeavour 2021 has been spotted for the first time in China. The images also confirmed that the new SUV is already in advanced and modern development stage. It is expected that the upcoming next-gen Endeavour is developed by the Ford teams from Thailand, China, and Australia.

According to the pictures, it is clearly visible that the new model would be more sophisticated and advanced. Additionally, the SUV won’t share a lot of information from the Ranger pickup model. For people who don't know, the Endeavour is based on the Ranger. The new upcoming model gets multi-link type rear suspension instead of the traditional rigid axle. This will increase the comfort and stability of the new SUV, but off-road capability will be compromised.

Exterior

At the front, the SUV gets split headlamp set-up with LED daytime running lights on the top and main headlamp lower on the bumper. The SUV is attached with wide rear doors that indicate spacious rear interior space and better facility to access the third row of seats. The upcoming SUV has lost out on some of the interesting  features which gave it an edge over the rest of the competition.

Even the top variants got a minor changes this time. The Titanium+ and Sport variants will no longer get the aux heater feature, the heater for rear passengers. This doesn’t change the fact that the new Endeavour is still loaded with features. Ford's full-size SUV, the Endeavour, has got a silent revision in it's list of features, which includes, the removal of active noise cancellation, a feature only available in the  Endeavour in this segment, from all the variants.. Especially in the the Titanium 4x2 also sees some changes.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the Ford Endeavour 2021 gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, newly styled technological panel, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, changing gears, electronic parking brake and several storage compartments, and connected car tech.

It also gets digital instrument console and multimedia system with a screen positioned above the ventilation outlets. It was a part of the 10-speaker sound system in the previous SUV that now gets upgraded and has an 8-speaker system that loses out on the front door chrome scuff plate. On the safety front, it also gets seven airbags, ESC, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Engine

The new Endeavour is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that comes out in the tuning 170PS and 420Nm in India and 180 PS/420Nm in various markets. This is mated to an India-first 10-speed automatic drive, including both 2WD and 4WD drivetrains.

The 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine in question belongs to the Panther engine family in India. It is offered in the current Ford Endeavour in overseas markets. However, in India, only the 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine produces 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque of the Panther engine family is offered and in some markets, it is an exchange for the 3.2-litre single-turbo five-cylinder diesel engine that produces 200 PS and 470 Nm of torque and was offered in India earlier also.
