Ford EcoSport Review

Ford EcoSport is one of the most popular compact SUVs in the Indian market. It offers a solid build, a powerful engine, and a long list of safety features.

The EcoSport is Ford’s offering to the lucrative compact SUV segment. It has been in the market for a while, but it got more popular when Ford updated the model in 2017 and introduced a youthful style, sporty cabin, and a petrol engine. The Ford EcoSport is available in petrol-manual, petrol-auto, and diesel-manual versions.

Exteriors

What makes Ford EcoSport stand out in the crowd is its bold exterior features; it knows how to turn heads on the road. Its Bold HID headlamps ensure better visibility while driving. Light and extra-strong Alloy wheels add comfort and style to your personality. At the rear, it comes with a door-mounted full-size spare wheel that gives it a muscular and sporty look. Its tail lamps are placed parallel to the spare tyre. Sign of a solid build, door create a proper thud sound while closing and open at a large angle for easy entry.

Interior

The Interior of EcoSport is more functional than being just fancy, which is quite appreciable in the cheaper models. The highly-advanced Sync 3 system with an 8-inch Touchscreen display supports better connectivity, entertainment, and offers more information. The rear-view camera turns on automatically when you shift gears into reverse. The cabin quality is average but justifies the pricing of the car.

There is plenty of space for the front passenger, but not so much in the back. It has not enough space for 5 adults to sit comfortably on a long drive. The all-new steering wheel with leather-wrapping is soft, and most of the plastic surface look pleasant to the eyes. Despite its compact size, the EcoSport offers decent storage space.

The Ford EcoSport offers both Diesel and Petrol Engine. The Diesel engine is 1498 cc while the Petrol engine variants is powered by a 1498 cc motor mated to a Manual and Auto transmission. The 1498 cc Petrol engine version generates a power of 98.63bhp and a torque of 149nm. The 1498 cc Diesel version generates a power of 118.35bhp and a torque of 215nm. Both engines have a dutiful six-speed automatic transmission and can-do wonders as compared to their rivals.

The EcoSport has 6 Airbags on Driver, Passenger, and side fronts for the safety of riders in case of an accident. Child Safety Lock keeps your children safe inside while you are driving on a busy day. Speed-sensing Auto-door lock, Impact sensing Auto door unlock, Child Seat Mounts, Anti-Pinch Power Windows, Seat Belts, Anti-lock braking system, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and many more safety features have been embedded to keep you safe while driving.
