Delhi Police to partner with FM Radio for live traffic updates

The Delhi Police is planning to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with FM Radio channels to get live air traffic updates to passengers, keeping them informed about the traffic situations.

The traffic information will be taken from the ranges and forwarded to Public Relations Offer (PRO) to pass it to FM radio.

The city has almost 1.22 crore registered vehicles in Delhi and many people listen to FM radio while driving.

People will also get informed of VVIP moments, dharna, protests, special arrangements, etc so that they can plan their routes accordingly.

Though, the Traffic Police give regular updates via Twitter, but the reach is limited as not everyone is on Twitter.
