The Delhi Traffic Police has planned an Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) which works on machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to facilitate quick passage for emergency vehicles such as fire tenders and ambulances.
According to traffic police, the project aims to synchronize all the traffic signals and automatically regulate the signal light. This system will also caution motorists on diversions to be taken in case of any congestion ahead.
Motorists will be able to look for updates on Municipality Corporation of Delhi's on mobile application. It will also be linked with Google maps.
