Citroen officially unveiled its next product for the Indian market, called C3. The company has launched globally and will go on sale in India in the first half of 2022. C3 is based on company's new Common Modular Platform (CMP), which has been developed for emerging markets like India and South Africa.
It is near-production model, so the feature list is yet to be finalized. Let's take a look at its exterior.
Exterior
The new Citroen C3 is a sub-4-metre B+ segment premium hatchback that comes mated with SUV-inspired design and styling. It includes plastic cladding with the orange highlight, rugged side, sporty alloy wheels, tall-boy stance, muscular profile, halogen headlamps, LED daytime running lights, beefy rear bumper, faux roof rails and wraparound LED taillamps.
C3 is 3980 mm long and has a ground clearance of 180 mm. It comes with a wheelbase of 2540 mm.
Interior
Inside, the company claims that the space within the cabin is amongst the best in the segment. It has 10.inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, three USB sockets, a smartphone clamp, a 12V socket, steering-mounted controls, glossy black bezels, and eight seat covers. Also, wide varieties of accessories will be offered.
Commuters in the second-row seats get a legroom space of 851 mm and a knee room of 653 mm. The front seats give passengers an elbow room of 1,418 mm and headroom of 991 mm. It also comes with a 315-litre boot space and a 1-litre glove box, with large door pockets and many other cubby holes.
Color options
The Citroen C3 is offered in both single and double-tone color options, including 10 customization options. Colors that are available are - Polar White, Steel grey, Platinum grey, and Zesty orange, whereas, the two-tone colors are available with two roof color options - Platinum Grey or Zesty Orange.
Price
It is expected to fall between ₹ 6 lakh to ₹ 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be launched in first half of next year, 2022.
