Re-registration of commercial vehicle is done after applying for cancellation for car's commercial permit.
The owner who wants to convert the vehicle into private one have to write an application to the concerned RTO along with the concerned reasons.
Once the previous registration gets cancels and NOC is given, then the owner can apply for re-registration of vehicle with the appropriate tax amount and documents.
Documents that are required are: PAN card, Aadhar card, photographs, NOC of cancellation permit acceptance, Form 20 for registration, insurance policy, Form 35.
This process can be done via Vahan portal online as well.
