Bajaj Auto has begun accepting bookings for the Chetak once again in Pune and Bengaluru for a token money of Rs. 2,000.
Bajaj Auto has officially started accepting orders once again from Pune and Banglore, after opening order books in Mysore, Aurangabad and Mangalore. Interested buyers can book the electric scooter for a token amount of ₹ 2000 from official website.
The automaker had previously announced a temporary suspension of bookings in these two cities in early 2020 due to pandemic. However, bookings for the Bajaj Chetak are now open in various cities. The company aims to make sure the availability of the electric scooter in 22 cities by 2022 in an organized manner.
The electric scooter is priced at Rs 1.42 lakh for the Urbane variant, while the premium will costs you Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom). It draws power from the 3.8 kW motor that delivers about 5 bhp and 16.2 Nm of torque.
It got a 3 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that promises a range of 80 km on a single charge. The former offers a maximum range of 95 km in the Eco mode. Using a conventional 5A home socket, you can fully charge the battery in about 5-6 hours.
If we talk about it's features, it comes with Bluetooth-enabled instrument console, LED lighting, illuminated switchgear, LED DRL, and a connectivity app.
