New Volvo V60 Interior, Safety and Features

Searching for a luxury station wagon with loads of practicality and luxury? Check out this new Volvo V60.

Practicality and luxury go side-by-side in the 2021 Volvo V60 station wagon. It is based on the Swedish automaker's S60 Sedan. This is offered both in regular and lifted Cross Country guise. V60 is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and can be had with either front or all-wheel drive. In addition, the 2020 V60 is now available through Volvo Car's premium subscription service, Care by Volvo. This facility provides car access via a monthly flat-fee subscription as opposed to ownership, making 'transportation' as simple and transparent as your cell phone plan.

Interior

The company has been offering some great interiors lately, and the V60's is not any exception, largely mimicking those of the S60 sedan and the XC60 SUV. The cabin is spacious, the seats are comfortable, and the design is undeniably upscale. However, Volvo's minimalist approach implies that several controls are hidden away inside the infotainment system. Like other models of this vintage, the cabin looks and feels more expensive than it is, which makes it all the more impressive and stylish. Boot capacity is great, too, something that we can expect from a station wagon. You can fit up to eight carry-on suitcases behind the rear seats and a total of 22 with the seats folded.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has given the Volvo V60 a 5-star safety rating. Volvo's safety-focused ethos applies driver-assistance features like lane-keeping assist, automated emergency braking, and other collision-avoidance technologies are standard.

Connectivity

Volvo's Sensus infotainment system, particularly within the first few minutes of starting the car. Till the screen wakes up, you can't adjust the climate control, set a destination in the navigation, or change the radio station. The easy and intuitive nature of the interface makes it easy to control while driving, thus take the good with the bad.

Maintenance Coverage

Volvo's standard protection plan doesn't break from the luxury-brand norm, providing four years or 50,000 miles for both powertrain and limited warranty coverage, however it will add some value in the style of a three-year complimentary maintenance plan.
