The electric vehicle model lineup in India is rising gradually. When 2020 was not good in terms of car development and launches, Mahindra had showcased an XUV300-based electric vehicle. The Mahindra eXUV300 is all-electric version of the XUV300 compact SUV. The car had managed to attract a lot of attention from the attendees, including a lot of potential customers as well. The electric SUV is expected to launch in India during the second half of 2021, and it will compete against the Tata Nexon EV. Find out below features:
Design
The Mahindra eXUV300 will be built on the Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture (MESMA) concept car which will also underpin future Mahindra EVs. Also, it is quite similar in terms of looks with the ICE XUV300. Also, a closed-off front grille and bumper were highly modified to add a compatible look. Sharp headlights with LED DRLs are also a welcoming addition to this version.
The vehicle will also feature a funky looking wheels that's not included in the production variant. The overall dimensions of the model are expected to be similar. The pearl white color of the based car along with black highlights really made the car stand out. The back look was also quite similar to the ongoing fuel-powered car.
Engine
The platform can support battery capacity of up to 80 kWh, and a pricier, longer-range model is also expected with a 60kwh battery pack that will power a 150kW (or 240hp) electric model. The e-XUV300 will only be available as a front-wheel-drive vehicle though.
Price
Price is a major factor for buying a car in India. You can make the best automobile in the world, but if your price it too high then, you can't sell large numbers in India. Mahindra eXUV300 SUV price is expected to start at Rs 13 lakh and top off at Rs 18 lakh.
