12 popular cars that will soon get a generation change

The Indian car market will see a slew of new models in the coming years, including electric, hybrid, and flex-fuel cars. Manufacturers will offer mid and generational upgrades to popular models in addition to a wide selection of new products. Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour are among the 12 (confirmed) cars that will enter their second generation over the next two years.

Maruti’s upcoming cars

The Indo-Japanese carmaker will present the new generation models of Alto, Swift and the compact SUV Brezza. The new Brezza, Swift and Alto will be available sometime in the next year. The Brezza will get a facelift and a slew of new features. Rumor has it that the company plans to deploy a more powerful hybrid system to make the car more fuel-efficient than the current model. It will make significant changes to the interior and exterior of the Alto and Swift. In comparison to the first, the second will have an improved 1.2L NA petrol engine and a more powerful hybrid system, making it more efficient.

Tata's upcoming cars

Tata will launch the new generation of Nexon, Tiago, and Tigor in 2022 or 2023. It will use the Alfa platform, which supports the Altroz hatchback, for all three models. The upcoming cars' details are yet unknown. Expected the car's exterior and interior to undergo considerable changes. It's possible, though, that the engine's configuration will remain the same.

Mahindra's upcoming cars

Mahindra & Mahindra plans to launch the new Scorpio in early 2022. In addition to a more feature-rich interior, the SUV will have new engines, larger size, and a better design. A new generation of the Bolero SUV, the company's most popular model, will be available soon. As a competitor to the Hyundai Creta, the Mahindra XUV500 will come in 2024. Officially, there is no release date for the new Mahindra XUV300. However, it will likely launch in 2023. The subcompact SUV is about to transform, inside and out.

Upcoming big SUVs

In the next year Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavor will undergo a generational change in the Indian 7-seater SUV market and will include ADAS in the Fortuner 2022, according to reports. Driving, vehicle stability control, and electric power steering are all expected to be on it. An all-new diesel hybrid powertrain is a possibility for the SUV and expected to import the new Ford Endeavor through a CBU route, making it costlier than the Fortuner and Gloster.
